Julie O’Hare

Julie has over 15 years’ experience of managing integrated communications programmes for clients in the health, education, arts and voluntary sectors.

She has a successful track record in delivering national and regional media relations campaigns. She has acted as media spokesperson for a number of high-profile charities on a range of issues including healthy eating, obesity, exercise and smoking.

Whilst at the British Heart Foundation she worked on a number of food awareness projects as part of the charity's campaign to combat childhood obesity.  She also researched and produced a Healthy Lifestyle guide for Sure Start parents (Child's Play) on behalf of North Birmingham Primary Care Trust, with the aim of encouraging parents to act on the 'Five-a-Day' message.  

She has a strong background in internal communications, stakeholder relations and has been responsible for corporate identity and publications programmes for her clients. In her work for voluntary sector clients, she has played a key role in co-ordinating high-profile visits by MPs, celebrities and Royalty, including the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

Julie is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a former Chairman of the Institute’s Midlands Group. She was recently awarded Accredited Practitioner Status by the CIPR.
